Wade William Elder, born December 29, 1956 in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, passed away on October 27, 2024 at the age of 67. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted wife, Cindy; his cherished sisters, Marilyn (Dave) and Kim (John). He was predeceased by his sister Gail, brother Fred, father Willis, and his mother Mary. Wade also leaves behind his three children, Kyle (Danielle), Cody (Krista), and Kacy (Austin). Wade was a proud grandfather to Griffin, Violet, Lily, Morgan, Jax, and Brynn, who brought him immense joy and laughter. Wade also leaves behind numerous foster children (Mike, David, Brandon, Trey, Alyssia, Conrad and Mitchell to name a few), many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wade was a man of many passions. His love for Hot Rods & racing was matched only by his thrill for a fast ride, a big burnout, and an eye for a good deal. Whether he was at a car show, the race track, or fixing up a project at "Wade's World", his commitment to having the coolest ride was like none other and his jokes were endless.  He cherished traveling with Cindy to many adventurous places, including Antarctica, China, and countless road trips across Canada and the USA, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Beyond his hobbies, Wade's greatest treasure was his family. He was always up for hanging out with his grandchildren to remove a splinter, fix a beloved toy, simply go for a ride in the golf cart or teach his kids/neighbors/or grandchildren to ride quads with him.

His irreplaceable character was well known in Whonnock and his reach was far and wide. Wade will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Thank you to all the nurses and doctors that cared for Wade during his short stay at Royal Columbian Hospital.

A celebration of Wade's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family can gather to share stories and memories of a remarkable man. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Terry Fox Foundation or BC Children's Hospital.

I met you on our mainland China trip Wade I immediately felt like I had known you for a very long time. You were just that kind of a guy. Both you and Cindy just felt like long time friends; I am so thankful to have met you and to have called you friend. You too were a team; a team that I admired and enjoyed being with. Being with you two made my world a better place. My deepest condolences to you Cindy and to all your family. Hold your memories close and he will never be far away.
