James Hilliard Noble, born June 15, 1948, passed away peacefully at home in Maple Ridge, BC on October 1, 2025. He was 77 years old.
James was born in Spiritwood, SK to Hilliard and Dorothy Noble. He grew up surrounded by family and community, and throughout his life was known for his kindness, sense of humor and strong work ethic.
He spent his career as a plumber and was well respected by his colleagues and clients alike for his dedication and craftsmanship. Outside of work, James took great joy tending to his animals and working on his farm. He also enjoyed relaxing with friends and a cold beer after a long day’s work.
James is survived by his children, Dean and Sherri; his siblings, Tom (Alice), Carolyn (the late David Guhl) and Rick (Florence); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Hilliard and Dorothy Noble and his siblings Walter Noble and Arlean (Betty) McGillis.
A Celebration of James’ life will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel (11969 216 Street, Maple Ridge).
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the Maple Ridge RCMP, Maple Ridge Fire Department and Victim Services for their care and support.
James will be remembered with love and deeply missed by all who knew him.
