A direct cremation is a service where the deceased is simply transported to the sheltering facility, cremated, and then the remains are returned to the deceased’s family. In today’s blog we will be going over some of the cremation options that can be added to our basic cremation package.

Caskets

We offer a wide range of cremation containers and caskets to accompany cremations, from simple cremation trays made of cardboard and wood priced at $195 to wood and cloth covered caskets of various pricing from $11,795 down to $395. Whatever your need or wants for a casket, we are sure to have an option that will serve your needs.

Urns

A variety of urns are available for the cremains of your loved one. We offer a complimentary plastic urn for each cremation.  additional plastic urns may be requested when providing portions of the cremains for family members at $25. each.  We offer a wide variety of scattering cylinders for $155 and even something as unique as the Infinity Urn, a textured stone urn shaped like a cube, available for $695. We hope that our selection of urns and containers will provide you with an option that fits both your aesthetic and budgetary needs.

Viewings

Direct Cremation is designed to be a simple, streamlined service where a viewing is not part of the basic package. However, we have several viewing options available that can be added to the basic service. We offer Identification of the decedentwhich is a short time of 10 minutes in our vistation area or an hour for viewing for $450. We offer loved ones of the decedent the option to witness the start of the cremation process, see them placed in the cremation chamber and start the actual cremation, if they wish. The cost for reserving the time and having the cremationist present is   $350. While these options do not include embalming of the deceased, that service is offered for an additional $595.
