It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Glenn Moore, who peacefully departed this life on April 1, 2025, at the age of 86 years old surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 14, 1938 in New Westminster BC. He worked most of his life in a shake and shingle mill but his true love and passion was on the water as a commercial fisherman on the West Coast and Fraser River.
He is survived by his wife Linda of over 67 years, daughter Colleen (Travis), sons Kelly (Debbie), and Brent (Cherylane.), grandchildren Corey, Brandon (Rebecca), Brad (Amanda), Larissa & Austyn and his five great grandchildren.
Stephen was known for his love of the NY Yankees, Vancouver Canucks, humour, but most of all his family. He loved nothing more than playing tricks on the family every April 1st and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A very special thanks to all the nurses and staff at RMH Emergency Department, 3 West, PATH and Hospice.
As per Stephen's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ridge Meadows Hospital or a charity of your choosing.

I first met Steve as a teammate with Larissa in college. One summer while visiting Larissa, we walked over to her grandparents house for the afternoon to play cards and have dinner. I'll never forget when he walked in with the biggest smile and said, “I brought you girls the biggest salmon of the day!” It was a highlight of my trip to be so welcomed and share that amazing meal. Big hugs to you all from your Minnesotan.

Linda and Family, I have so many great memories of Steve, I remember it was around 1960 and we would visit my Grand Parents in Albion and Steve would, on many occasions, be sitting in the net house either mending nets or hanging a net and when we would arrive, he always took the time to come out and greet us, he had a way to make everyone feel special. In later years when I would be at my office (Maple Ridge Towing) and Steve would come down to the River, he often would take the time to stop in for a visit or if he had been out fishing that day, he would drop off a fish for my family. In 1995 I wrote and recorded a song about my Grand Father "The Proud Old Fisherman" and I have to apologize to your family, I gave Steve a copy of the CD and from what I heard he played it almost non stop and that must have driven the rest your family over the edge! LOL
In closing Linda, my memories of Steve and the rest of your family will be with me for the rest of my life. Steve was the salt of the earth.
Love Randy & Terri Sorley

Dearest Linda, We are so sorry for the loss of Steve. Kit always talks about the time Steve took him and my dad on that fishing trip to the Straight of Georgia. He had so much fun. As for me, I knew him my whole life. He was so kind to me, always. He will always be in my heart. Condolences to the Family.

We will miss Stephen on our visits to Maple Ridge. His sharp wit and humour were a wonderful part of him. Hosting Stephen and Linda in our home in Saskatchewan was a privilege.
Our sincere sympathy to Linda, Colleen, Kelly, and all the family.

I'm so sorry for your loss Linda and the rest of your family. I have so many good memories as a child going to your place and spending hours either at your place or the boat. I'm sure my Dad will be waiting for him.
