STELLA ANNE LOVERIDGE

April 6, 1937 - June 1, 2022

Stella Anne Loveridge, 85, of Maple Ridge BC, passed away suddenly on June 1, 2022 at Ridge Meadows Hospital.

Stella was born on April 26, 1937 in Kingswear, England.  She is predeceased by her loving husband Ronald Loveridge.  Stella came to Canada with Ron in July 1966.  She worked in the hospitality industry at  St. Catherine's Golf and Country Club until she followed Ron to Toronto and then to Maple Ridge.  

Stella did not have children of her own but she was like a mother to Joanne Benoit and grandmother to  her sons Jack and Cole.  Stella taught the boys how to have their first pillow fight.  

Stella was known for her love of animals especially her Shelties, Barney and then Sandie after Barney passed away.  She was a kind, considerate lady with a quick wit.

Stella loved to bring her Sheltie to meet up to chat with her friends at Maple Ridge Park before health issues prevented her from doing so.  She would still go to the park with Joanne on occasion to sit and enjoy the children playing and dogs running around. 

Stella will be missed by her friends, Joanne Benoit  (Maple Ridge), Allan and Anne Ross (Maple Ridge), Helena Browett (Maple Ridge), Sylvia Dawson (Summerland) and Bob and Doreen Ross (Ontario),  among other close acquaintances.  

A funeral service will be held at St. John The Divine Anglican Church at 21299 River Rd, Maple Ridge BC, on July 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. The church is located at 21299 River Road, Maple Ridge BC.  Interment will follow at the Maple Ridge Cemetery at 1 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Heart Foundation  or the BC Kidney Foundation.
