It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Rocco Johnson on August 26th, 2024.
Rocco is survived by his mother, Deborah Niccoli; his father, Bradley Johnson; his sister, Marisa Johnson; his grandmother, Jeannette Henke; his Nonno & Nonna, Joe and Vetulia Niccoli; and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and friends. Rocco was predeceased by his grandfather, Bill Johnson.
Rocco was born in New Westminster, British Columbia on March 15th, 2006 to loving parents, Deborah Niccoli and Bradley Johnson. He recently graduated from Pinetree Secondary School and had hopes of pursuing a career in trades.
Rocco was a kind-hearted, caring son, grandson and brother. His thoughtfulness and big heart will be missed by many. He never failed to impress those around him with his reverence. He had a sense of humour like no other and his loved ones could always count on him to make them laugh. He had a passion for sports, fitness and animals.
Rocco was quick on his feet in all aspects of life and somehow always knew the right thing to say, how to problem solve or how to make just the right play in a game. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those who knew him.
Respectfully, the family will hold a private funeral to honour and celebrate Rocco.
A future announcement will provide details for a celebration of life, allowing those not part of the private service to pay their respects.
The family thanks everyone for their continued support and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked the Archdiocese of Vancouver to receive donations which will be anonymously directed to a charity very close to their hearts.
