Rick (Richard) Musil

Rick Musil, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle & friend, passed away on November 23, 2025, at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife Karen, son Tyler, daughter Sarah, brother John(Cathy), sister Dianna(Denis), aunt Adele, & huge extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Helmuth & Lilli.

Professionally Rick became a plumber in the early 1980s, working for his family contracting business & later becoming an owner for many years, helping build the company & industry with dedication & integrity while just retiring last year.

Outside of work, he loved go-kart racing, 4x4ing, and fishing trips with family & friends. He also cherished the years spent as the youth soccer team manager and his annual homemade sausage making with family & friends! He especially treasured vacations to Maui with his wife & family. 

He will be remembered for his humor, generosity & unconditional loyalty to all those around him.

There will be a celebration of life in spring of 2026.

Good memories of Rick throughout the years, whether at the site or for the epic National Christmas parties. Always has a laugh or 2 and was an easy guy to chat with. He will be truly missed.

I had the privilege to work with Rick and have many fond memories of our conversations with him and the estimating team. He brought a warmth and presence that made our weekly catch-ups something I genuinely looked forward to.

Christopher has spent many a family gathering with Rick and Karen .Chris has cherished the gatherings that have brought the inner family together Rick and Karen have been very welcoming to the Joseph's whom are a very close and dedicated to all..
I am very blessed to join this family..they all have welcomed me in..Rick Karnen and I have had many chats over my only 8 years ..we will miss his character..his stories and of course his love sharing his skill Smoking and Barbecuing..for all
