Dear Family of Thiru. Ram Lingam Uncle!

We are really saddened to hear the demise of our beloved Lingam uncle. We send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire family. At this time we pray that the Almighty God provide enough strength, courage and confidence to tide over this loss.

Ram Lingam Uncle was a man of inspiration, enthusiasm, perseverance and untiring action. His devotion and commitment to the Murugan temple and his love of the society he lived in are unparalleled. He became a role model not only to his entire family but enthralled the community at large with his service and sacrifice of time, energy, effort and resources for the Richmond Murugan Temple. He lived a life that became a living example in goodness, godliness and unconditional love towards all beings. We are fortunate to have received his love and support when we lived in Vancouver, BC.

His life is something to be celebrated by the whole community as he has given always more than what he received.

Our venerations and prayers for his soul to rest at the lotus feet of Lord Murugan.

May he find peace and immortality.

We are sadden to hear about uncle Ram Lingam's demise. He was great person who helped us tremendously in 1983 onwards while I was pursuing my graduate studies at UBC. He was very passionate about Tamil Language and asked my wife to teach his children and others. He and his family always treated us as their own. We are grateful to him and family. His perseverance led to the successful mission of building the Murugan Temple in Richmond. We all should thank him for this. Our prayers are with the family at this time.

We are saddened on the loss of Mr. Ram Lingam. Together with his extended family, Mr. Ram Lingam built the Richmond Murugan Temple more than 30 years ago. Because of his dedication, foresight and generosity, the temple has been a place of Hindu worship for people from all over BC and faraway places.
