Patricia “Patty” was born in Santiago, Chile, where she lived with her mother “Mama Rosa”, brother Raul, and large extended family. In 1988, she and Raul moved to Calgary, AB, to join their father, Raul, and his family. 

Patty met Marcos in Calgary, where they married in 1990. Before starting their family, they enjoyed their time together and traveled; later they welcomed their three children, Megan (1998), Melody (2000) and Jordan (2003), to fill their lives and home. Mama Rosa joined the family in Canada after Megan’s birth.

In 2005 the family moved to Maple Ridge, BC, where they have lived since.

Patty was known by all who met her for her joy, quirky sense of humour, friendliness, kindness, compassion and ever-giving personality. Her artistic gift and love of music filled our home with joyfulness and love. Children always gravitated towards her; she was fun and had a young spirit. 

She loved Nature, and going for long walks in the woods, especially with the family’s beloved dogs that did not leave her side. 

She passed away in Royal Columbian Hospital at far too young an age, after a difficult illness.

Patty is survived by her mother, husband, three children and partners, brother Raul and wife Pilar, their children Leo and Valeska, her father Raul and wife Carmen, their children, Raul, Christine, Crystal and numerous extended family members in Canada, Chile, Sweden and many friends, who will always remember her for her endless love and affection, and who will continue to have memories of her enthusiasm and positive smile. She will leave a large hole in the lives of those who loved her.
