It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norah Donald Chalmers, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 91. Norah passed away at Maple Ridge Hospital after a short illness.

A life well lived began in Aberdeen Scotland with her father, mother and 4 brothers (pre-deceased by Leslie, Charlie, Jimmy and Douglas). Norah married James Chalmers in Aberdeen, in 1956, and soon emigrated to Canada, and began to build a new life and family, having 4 children. Norah and James lived in Pitt Meadows for many years and made many friends through Soccer and various children’s activities. James worked as a sales manager, and Norah as a library tech at Maple Ridge Library. They eventually moved to Maple Ridge upon their retirement.

Norah is pre-deceased by husband James (2018) and son Craig Chalmers (1986), and survived by son Eric, and daughters Noreen (Doug) and Linda (Rod), and grandchildren Kyle, Sam, Brady, Sydney and Shane, and great grandchild Isaac.

Norah was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Per her wishes there will be no service, but a celebration of life will be arranged at the end of August.
