It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nina Theresa Maria Bewcyk, age 70, who passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 8th, 2025, at McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge, BC.
Nina was born on June 17th, 1955, in Vancouver, BC, and was raised by her beloved predeceased parents, John and Terri Redekop. She was a loving wife to Allen Bewcyk for 44 years and the mother of Maria, Lara, Christina, Robert and Nadia Bewcyk. Nina proudly worked as a police dispatcher with the RCMP from 1977 to 1999 and was highly regarded for her skills and abilities on the job. She was always known for her big smile and compassionate heart. She was a great listener and was the best person to turn to for advice. She also loved to dance and cook. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Nina left her mark on every life she touched.
A funeral service will be held for her on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at 11 am at St. Michael's Parish, 9387 Holmes St, Burnaby, BC.

Nina's passing was too soon, but the love she had for her family will surpass the short years on this earth. God will have a new treasure in heaven, and He will keep her precious soul safe until everyone is reunited together again.
I enjoyed our coffee times and phone chats together, but they also were too short and few!
'Till we meet again, my dear neighbour, my friend - in a place where time has no end.
