It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Muriel Jessie Baust on April 28th, 2026, at the age of 88. Although her journey with us has paused, she is now reunited with her husband, Erwin Baust, to continue their beautiful life together. 

Muriel was born in Scotland and came to Canada in 1946 where she met her husband, Erwin. Her husband built a home for their family in North Pitt Meadows, where she lived at for many years. Muriel was a widow at age 27 and raised her two sons in the home that her late husband built. In 2016, Muriel moved to Holyrood Manor in Maple Ridge, and passed away there peacefully. 

Muriel is predeceased by her husband; Erwin Baust and by her son; Randy Baust. 

Muriel is survived by her son; Errol Baust (Rose). Daughter in law; Paula Baust. Grandchildren; Alexandria, Joscelyn (Brent), Zachary (Melanie), Chelsea (Jason), Nicholas (Maddie), and Allison (Jackson). Great grandchildren; Mackenzie (Emily), Reese, Holden, and Layla. 

Muriel will be remembered by the love she had for lilacs, her kindness, and for how deeply she adored her family. 

Private service will be held at Maple Ridge Cemetery on May 13th at 2pm.
