Born on February 5, 1933, in Glasgow, Scotland, our beloved mom was the cherished daughter of Alberto and Susan and loving sister to her brother, Albert.

On June 8, 1961, she married the love of her life, Rinaldo Verrecchia. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and countless memories.

Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She leaves behind her three children, Mario (Sandi), Gina (Doug) and Susan (Carey); her seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Catarina (Mike), Alexander (Victoria), Alyssa, Kyle, Brendan (Teigra) and Catherine; and her great-grandchildren, Thomas, Kristen, Avani and Adeline, with two more little blessings on the way.

Maria will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her wonderful sense of humour, her incredible stories and, above all, the unconditional love she had for her family. Family was at the heart of everything she did. She was always there for those she loved, offering strength, comfort and unwavering support. She made sure we always knew we were loved, protected and never alone.

Though we will feel her absence every day, the memories we made, the lessons she taught us and the love she gave so freely will remain part of who we are.

She was the heart of our family, and no words can truly capture how much she meant to us. We are forever grateful for the life she lived, the family she brought together and the love she gave us.

Until we meet again, Mom (Nonna) you will always be with us.

SERVICES:

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Evangelist Chapel at Gardens of Gethsemani (15694 32 Ave, Surrey) on Friday, November 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM.  Rev. Mario Marin, Celebrant.  Burial will follow in Our Lady's Garden at 11:00 AM
