It is with sad hearts we announce that Manuel Simoes Ferreira passed away on June 9, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Manuel was born in Alcanena, Portugal on September 16, 1943 and immigrated to Canada in 1989 with his wife Arlinda. Their union of 58 years was marked by love, resilience, and unwavering devotion.

Manuel was a beloved husband and father, and a good friend to many. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, hard work, and strong dedication to his family. He is survived by his wife Arlinda, daughter Helia, sister Josefina, brothers Dimontino and Joao, and a large extended family. He is predeceased by his daughter Licinia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke Parish, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge, BC with burial to follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery.
