It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love. On Thursday, December 29th, 2022, Luigi (Louie) Zuccaro passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42. He was a loving son, brother, partner, uncle and friend.

Louie was born on February 9th, 1980, in Vancouver, BC. Louie was predeceased by his Nonna and Nonno and his brother Salvatore (Sam). Louie is survived by his parents, Joe and Maria; brother Alex (nephew Marco and niece Vienna), fiancé Natalie and the Lutz family, uncles Louie (Clara), John, Domenic (Shirley) (cousins Jennifer and Stephanie), Rafaello, Sandra, God Son, Giovanni and the Balenzano family and many other relatives and friends in Canada and Italy.

Louie lived his life to the fullest and would light up any room he walked into with his big personality and smile.  Louie was the most compassionate, family oriented, loyal and generous person you will ever meet. Louie was so loved by all, family, friends and business associates. He will be missed for eternity.

A memorial will be held on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969-216th Street, Maple Ridge.

My sincerest condolences to the entire family. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Louie as he renovated my bathrooms. I was so impressed with his easy going attitude and professionalism. I am grateful to have known him if only for a short while. God bless you Louie and thank you for your smile.

Our heartfelt condolences to Natalie and the D’Onofrio family on the sudden and far too soon loss of your beloved Louie. “Nephew Lou” as he was fondly known to us was a bright light to so many. He was always on the ready to help out and approached everything with positivity, his immense smile and bigger heart. To his uncles Louie and John he was their navigator through life helping out at every turn. Louie lit up the room and made everyone feel welcome. You will be missed, never forgotten, and forever loved.
Rest In Peace Nephew Lou.

We will miss Louie terribly. Someone with a heart as big as his is very rare and hard to find. Even though we were not related by blood we always considered Louie at Natalie as a part of our family. My heart breaks for all of us who loved him but especially for Natalie, the Zuccaro and Donofrio families and my grandchildren who called him uncle. He was so kind and generous to them. RIP my friend

Lou was amazing! He was genuine, generous, compassionate, cheeky, loyal, always quick to laugh and so much more. I, like many, feel so very blessed and honoured to have had him in my life. He was always quick to tease in good fun or to lend a helping hand at the drop of the hat. The world is a lesser place without his wonderful presence but he remains within our hearts.
Be happy and at peace my friend.
You are forever loved.

Our sweet, gentle, loving nephew was taken far too soon. Louie (Junior to us) had so much life yet to live. Jr and his Zio Lou and Zio John were like the 3 Musketeers, always being goofy or silly, letting Natalie and his Zia tag along (our crazy Calabria Bar nights or dinners on the Drive). To say he'll be missed is an understatement. I'd often tell Jr what silly thing his Zio did just to hear him say " Awe Zio, you're the best"........... Jr you're the best.
Rest in Paradise sweet Angel

forever in our hearts, love you always

Lou’s kindness toward me and everyone he met was immense. His heart was big and I will miss our laughs at the cafe. He always told me coming to the coffee bar was the best part of his week, but his visits were the best part of my week.
Rest In Peace pal,
Nick
