COMEAU, Laura Ellen – Born December 4, 1952 in Burnaby BC, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026 following a short but aggressive illness. Laura was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Patricia Phillips of Port Coquitlam and her sister, Diane Phillips of Maple Ridge BC.
Laura will never be forgotten and will be dearly missed by her husband of of 34 years John Comeau, of Pitt Meadows BC; son Sean Hammond (Sara); daughter Brooke Davidson (James); grandchildren Jacob, Austin, Logan, Drew, Allison and Emily, all of Maple Ridge BC and sister Susan Van Norman of Quesnel BC. She also had numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless friends who will miss her immensely.
Laura will be remembered for being larger than life and for her big heart that would help anyone that needed it. Laura enjoyed life to the fullest, whether it be travelling the world with John and friends or at home with her family.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks.

I was just a little girl when I met Laura at lacrosse Games, my older brother played and I was the cheer leader for the poco Saints.. Laura always greeted me coming back to the stands with a smile and a great job Lisa.. her smile lit up a room and a laugh that I will forever hear.. you will be missed Laura. Sending all my love to John, Sean, Brooke and family.. rest in paradise

Laura was a great woman with a huge heart. She always had a way to make everyone feel welcome. She was a very funny person. Her sense of humor could make a priest blush. She also made the best Mac and Cheese. I will always cherish the time spent with Laura. Love ya second mom. Rest in peace. Say hi to Kitty for me.
