It is with profound sadness and grateful hearts for the time we shared with her that we announce the passing of Lalithabai “Lalitha” Paulrajan, beloved wife, mother, and Ammama, who left us peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 85.

Born in Kerala, India, Lalitha was one of seven siblings. She and her devoted husband, Lawrence, shared 58 wonderful years together, building a life side by side that took them from India to Bahrain and England before they eventually settled in Port Coquitlam, Canada, where they made their forever home.

Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their cherished children, Stan and Sandie. She lovingly welcomed her son-in-law, Tyler, into the family and later embraced her four beloved grandsons, Asher, Josh, Jonah, and Nathan, who were the joy of her life.

Lalitha worked for 27 years at Riverview Hospital as a health care worker, caring for people living with mental health challenges. She approached her work with compassion and dedication and had a natural way of connecting with people. She made many meaningful friendships throughout her years of work.

Lalitha was a woman of great commitment and generosity. Like so many who leave their homeland to build a new life in another country, she carried a deep sense of duty to her family, both near and far, and fulfilled it faithfully throughout her life. Her generosity was quiet and constant, and her kindness touched the lives of many. Her life was anchored by an unwavering devotion to God and her Christian faith. She loved her friends and extended family dearly. Though she travelled the world, her heart always found its greatest home with those she loved. Her warmth, compassion, and beautiful spirit will live on in all those who knew her.

Lalitha will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lawrence; her children, Stan and Sandie (Tyler); her four grandsons, Asher, Josh, Jonah, and Nathan; her siblings and their families; and her many friends.
