Julius passed away peacefully at home.
Julius was born in Knappenberg, Austria - the eldest child of Julius and Karoline Fritz. His formative years were in Volkermarkt, Austria. In 1971 Julius immigrated to Canada, living in Montreal and Calgary before moving to Maple Ridge in 1996. He enjoyed a quiet peaceful life along the Alouette River, working outside and keeping an eye on the local wildlife.
Julius will be very much missed by his family. He and Sandra celebrated 40 years of marriage last spring. Julius is the loving father of Elisabeth, Gisela (Sayed) and Kirste - proud Grandfather of Maddalena (Giacomo) and Amin - doting Great Grandfather of Massimiliano - big Brother of Edith (Larry) and Karoline (Erich) - beloved Uncle to Anita, Heimo, Manuela, Martina, Ian and Tamara.
The family wish to acknowledge and thank those who provided amazing home care for Julius, including Dr. Dugdale, the Fraser Health Community Health Workers, Occupational Therapists and Nurses who made it possible for Julius to continue to live at home. We will be forever grateful.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date, with interment in Austria later this year.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Parkinsons Society, or one of your choosing, would be appreciated.

Dear Sandy and Kirste,
We’re so sorry to hear of Julius’ passing. We did know he had been so disabled by Parkinson’s - that is such a terrible disease. Sandy, you deserve so many accolades for your care and compassion for his worstening condition. We all do as we have to for those we love, and I know you have indeed earned your angel’s wings. You, Kirste as well as Edith and his other family must be missing his smiling face so much and though he is no longer here on earth, he is with you always in memories that are forever present.
Please know that our distance in miles is far but our best wishes and sympathy are close at hand and if you ever need a friend, I will be there.
