Boone, John Richard (Rick)
June 3, 1945-October 14, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Rick Boone. There are no words to describe our grief in losing one of the most gentle, compassionate, and loving people to have walked the Earth. We will miss his ability to be fully present with each of us such that we felt special and important in his presence. His unwavering love and loyalty to his family and friends were such gifts. His daughters, Jennifer (Michael), Erin and Kathleen along with his grandchildren, Joey, Jordan, Olivia, and Emily, who were his pride and joy, loving relatives and cherished friends will miss him dearly. May you be at peace with your dear wife, Annette, and your adored parents. A service will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 11:00 am at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969-216 Street, Maple Ridge. Reception to follow on site following the service. A private entombment will take place at 2:30 pm at the South Mausoleum at Ocean View Burial Park, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby.

We are so sorry to see that Rick passed away. Rick worked with my husband, John Kraski, in the late '90's and we had wonderful times with Rick & Annette. I looked him up because we are going to be in the lower mainland this summer and thought we would reconnect. I hope you all enjoy your wonderful memories and the warmth of your family. Sincere condolences to all the family. I knew your dad since the 1980s when my husband John worked at Picker with Rick, Hans Schmidt and others. I will forever remember his gentle and kind spirit. Luckily I had the pleasure of dining with him at Schmidt's as recently as last year. RIP Rick.

Uncle Rick will be forever missed and has left a lasting imprint in my heart. We are so very blessed to have him present in our lives. I will miss our chats and hearing you say “I love you” at the end of our conversations. Thank you for everything. May you rest in peace. I know you will as you are together with Auntie Annette again.
Jennifer, Erin and Kathleen, so sorry for your incredible loss. Take care of each other because you need each other more than you ever have before.
Love you all so much.
