Della passed away peacefully at Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission surrounded by her family. She is predeceased by her loving husband Hunt, and lifelong friend Muriel.

Della and Hunt were married in November 1952, in New Westminster. Together, they raised four children: Alanah (Brad), Shawneen (Gordon), Ayron (Darrin), and Phillip (Shari). Della was blessed with 12 grandchildren: Brian (Jackie), Matthew, Sarah (Matthew), Jeffrey, Bryant (Skylar), Ryan, Jesse, Kyle (Katie), Christina (Luke), Cameron (Breanne), Kaleigh, and Colten (Taylor). She was also a loving great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister Donna (Ernie) and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her two good friends, Joan and David.

Della loved life and embraced every adventure. She started her own swim business, learned to scuba dive, golfed, parasailed, travelled extensively, skied, zip-lined, painted, rode a motorcycle, and enjoyed kayak fishing. And Della loved to bake. Though her adventures took her far from home at times, Della’s family always came first.
