My Auntie Dorothy (Dot) Cornish was a force to be reckoned with. She lived life on her own terms and was mentally sharp to the very end. She loved her family and was fiercely proud of them. When we visited her apartment we always saw pictures of the grandkids on her walls and often heard stories about what they were doing. Dot was clearly interested in their lives and enjoyed telling us about them. If you know someone who makes you feel special, that was Dot. What we felt in her presence was enjoyment of our company. She was very sociable and loved being around people, especially those in her building. She was able to live independently thanks to the support of friends and family, especially Don and Lisa. Their kindness to her was a blessing.

Dot’s passing ends a generation of the Twaites family but she lives on in the memories and many photos we have of her. She is now with her siblings. May she Rest in Peace.
