With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Claudette Camilla Gauthier (Canuel). Her battle with cancer came to an end on August 5th, surrounded by her loved ones. It was a long and hard battle for two and a half years, filled with hope and perseverance.

Survived by her children, Richard Gauthier (Tirath Dahmi-Gauthier and daughters, Harnoor and Naveah), David Gauthier (Colleen Austin and son, Milo) and Chantal Gauthier.

Born on July 16th, 1959. She grew up in the French community of Maillardville along with her brothers Denis, Rene, Alan, Ivan and Regan. She would later marry Glen Gauthier (1957-2008) and raise their own family in Maillardville.

She will be remembered for her warm, welcoming nature and her strong sense of family. No matter who you were or what you believed in, she never judged, only loved. An incredibly inclusive person.
Her kids and grandchildren were her greatest of prides.

We love you and will miss you, always.
