It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bryon Thomas Bettesworth, who was born on November 17, 1940, in Tisdale Saskatchewan. Bryon lived a full and vibrant life defined by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a personality that brought joy to all who knew him.

Bryon was the beloved son of Thomas and Olive Bettesworth, and a cherished brother to Dave and Ken, all of whom predeceased him. He shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife Vicki, who sadly passed away last June.

He will be deeply missed by his loving sons, Shawn (Natasha) and Christopher (Sarah), and by his treasured grandchildren: Emily and Bronson (Shawn and Natasha), and Josh and Riley (Christopher and Sarah). Bryon was a proud father, grandfather and uncle and his greatest joy came from time spent with his family.

Bryon proudly served his country as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy, carrying that sense of duty and camaraderie throughout his life. Following his service, he built a respected career with Canada Customs, where he retired as a Superintendent.

In his younger years, Bryon was an avid curler, embracing both the competition and the social spirit of the sport. Known as the life of the party, Bryon had a natural ability to make people laugh, feel welcome, and enjoy the moment. Whether among friends, colleagues, or extended family, he was a constant source of warmth and humour.

Bryon will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his unwavering love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love that will not be forgotten.
