Brandy Lynn Scott

August 19, 1986 – May 14, 2022

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Brandy Lynn Scott.

Brandy was born in Maple Ridge, BC, the daughter of Lynda Scott-Slaugther (Bruce) and Ted Scott (Fiona).  She is the younger sister of Chris Herbert (Cara) & Nick Scott.  Brandy had a large loving family filled with step-siblings;  Colin (Trish), Josh (Colleen), Luke (Tamara) & Jodie (Dave); Sam & Stephanie (Ron); Adam & Alina.  She loved all her nieces & nephews: Brayden, Rylan, Angus, Sadie, Dylan, Katie, Sienna, Edwin, Emery, Macey, Nixon & Mason.

Lovingly missed by her Grandma Bev, Grandpa Johnny, Grandpa Ted, Grandma Margaret, Aunt Donna, Aunt Janet (Brad), Aunt Donna Scott, Uncle Dan (Ceilidh), Aunt Suzanne (Marco), Aunt Sherry (Mike), Uncle James, Aunt Laura (Brett), Aunt Elizabeth and many cousins.

Predeceased by her Grandpa David Scott,  Grandma Nora Scott and step-brother Colin Slaughter.

Brandy loved all people and had a special connection to animals.  She leaves behind her dog, sweet Jewel in the loving care of family.

Brandy lived her early years in Maple Ridge with her parents.  In July 1994 at the age of 8, she moved with her mom Lynda, & Stepfather Bruce, and the younger siblings group Nick, Luke, & Jodie to Rock Creek, BC.  Brandy said she loved her childhood.  For a time they had a petting zoo and always had many pets.  The siblings never got together without sharing great memories of pranks they played on each other and their parents.  Life was simple, and so much fun.

Brandy was an empath.  She always felt that she could know what you were feeling on a deep level.  This is how she was able to connect so well with others.  Many friends have reached out and proven this with how closely connected they felt to her.

It was no secret that in the later years of her life, Brandy struggled.  Her heart and soul feeling everything so deeply weighed on her.  All family and friends tried to help her always.  She was very honest with what she was going through and reached out to many in her search for answers.

A daughter, sister, friend, and beautiful woman inside and out.  Brandy will forever be missed and loved by so many.

Oh brandy... we miss you here. You were a wonderful neighbor, and we miss your smile and sunflowers dearly. Anastasia noticed your rocks were gone last week and asked where they went, I feel terrible I was so close but so far from you.
I wish I could have helped you.
I had a new batch of our gluten free cookies for you, I'll visit soon and leave some.

Much love,
Ashley and Anastasia, 212

Oh Branz, my sister. You wrote a post a while ago talking about all of our childhood memories and I tell you you were not wrong we really did have some amazing times growing up I wouldn’t have had it any other way! I definitely look back at our childhood and the memories I have are full of laughter and shenanigans! From Nicks fort collapsing with him in it, to farting in jars, hiding in the barn with marmalade getting snuggles until he had enough and viciously attacked us (prick) I will cherish these memories forever.
I love you Brandy

Lynda, Bruce and the rest of the family. My heart is hurting so much. Growing up with Brandy by my side made for an extremely fun childhood. We were continuously laughing and being silly. I have so many memories with her, it would take FOREVER to tell them all. From Brandy learning to drive a dirt bike at my house (driving straight up a tree) to walking to the Rock Creek store and buying a thing of pringles and a jar of pickles and walking home to finish them ALL when we got back, to all of the tubing trips we took down the river....I could go on and on. Just know she was loved always and still is. I hope you all can find comfort in all the memories you have with her and lean on each other for strength. I am always here to chat to anyone about the good times when we were much smaller. I send all of you my love, I am hurting with you. Hugs to everyone!
