It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Silva, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, on November 30, 2025, at the age of 66.
Tony is survived by his devoted wife Maria, his children Roberto and Melanie, and his daughter-in-law Jessica. He was a proud grandfather to three granddaughters who were the light of his life.
Tony will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, and the joy he brought to those around him. He always had a joke or a clever comment ready to make someone smile. His love of the outdoors, especially gardening, brought him peace, and he cherished every opportunity to travel and explore the world with his family.
Known for his generosity and unwavering support, Tony was always the first to lend a hand. His presence made every gathering brighter, and his kindness touched all who knew him.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tony's memory on December 20th at 11:00am with a light lunch reception to follow at the Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel.

Nem queria acreditar quando soube a triste notícia e ainda hoje não tenho palavras para consolar a minha querida mana e afilhados!
Sinto tanta tristeza só de imaginar que não vou voltar a ver e falar com o meu compadre querido! Restam as boas lembranças e uma saudade profunda.
Hoje passei ali no quarto da Ana Sofia e vi a foto lá no quadro dela das recordações e foi uma boa memória de umas férias em família!
Resta-me recordar-te compadre com a esperança de um dia nos voltarmos a encontrar na eternidade e te dar um abraço bem apertadinho!

Well where to start... going to Maple Ridge for the day and for dinner was a huge ordeal for our family especially growing up in the 90's and having everyone over at our place in Vancouver aswell. I always looked forward to those family reunions as Melanie and Rob were essentially practically like siblings to me.
Primo To always had a good story for the dinner table and always had a way of making everyone laugh. He would also always tell it like it is.... no bullshit and no fluff. Glad we got to celebrate you and have a little reunion last year Primo and to have road tripped with you guys out to Calgary last year with my Uncle John. Memories were definitely made and all those jokes won't ever be forgotten.
Ps. You really made it and won at life, without needing to spend those 4years at UBC!!! 😉❤️ Here are a couple throwbacks to reminisce some good times 🥂

Quando recebemos a notícia da partida do António ficamos incrédulos… como era possível 😞???
O Tó e o seu carro Alfa Romeu, fazem parte das memórias de infância da nossa rua. A boa disposição, a alegria e a entreajuda eram visíveis à distância.
O To levou consigo a Maria para Maple Rid e quando voltavam de férias traziam com eles duas crianças que rapidamente conquistaram o nosso coração, o Roberto e a Melanie… que linda a Sua Família que vimos crescer.
A bondade e alegria destacaram sempre o António.
Guardo as palavras do Verão passado “Para o ano brindamos todos juntos.”

I'm still in disbelief of your sudden passing. I just want it to be one of those horrible nightmares. But I know your are in the arms of your Mom in the heavens. And another bright light in the night sky watching over your Familia. I was one of little shits like grandpa would call me and my brother , hanging around you in Portugal as a little kid. That bond carried over to Canada, living at your parents house. Seeing your kids grow into mature adults. Dinners and bbqs etc...The call I got from Maria, I though it was for another one of those dinners at your house. Was looking forward for another 20 + years of more memories together. Life had other plans. I know you're beside your parents and my parents. Rest in peace " Descança Em Paz " Primo Tó-Silva " Tony"
