ANTONIO (TONY) EDUARDO TUZZI

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Eduardo Tuzzi, 58.  Tony passed away at home unexpectedly March 7, 2023.  He was born September 1, 1964, in Vancouver, BC, the son of Marcellino and Maria Tuzzi. 

Tony grew up in North Vancouver and then in his early teens moved with his family to Coquitlam, where he attended Montgomery Junior High and Centennial Secondary School, Class of 1982.  Tony loved playing pool, hockey and baseball.  His love for the game of pool ran so deep he started his own pool business “Antonio’s Billiard Services”, buying, selling installing pool tables all over the lower mainland and beyond.   Tony attended a number of pool table tournaments, locally, within the province and even off to Vegas on the odd tournament.    We even got to see him play on TSN.   Yes, he was that good, we’ve never known a better player than Tony, he would lead all his teams to victory and cared so much about his teammates, that was obvious. 

He had a great love of sports but his favorite was hockey.   He played on numerous teams, from high school to adulthood and just couldn’t go without making an appearance whenever he could, even with a friend’s team.   His greatest joy was when he was able to join a team that had an ex-NHLer or WHLer so he could tell us about it !

Surviving in addition to his common law wife, Arden Neufeld, are his sons Darian Harper, Joshua Tuzzi, stepson Kainan Jones and his daughter Avianna.  He will dearly missed by his sweet loving mother, his brothers, Roberto, Michael, Adriano and his sister Michelle, their spouses as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his extended family in the pool community. 

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 11:00am, All Saints Catholic Church, 821 Fairfax Street, Coquitlam, BC with a reception to follow.
