It is with great sadness that after an eight-month battle with cancer, we announce the passing of Alix-Anne LaFrance. She passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, with her devoted husband, Les by her side.
Alix-Anne was predeceased by her son, Nathan, and will be deeply missed by her loving husband Les, her daughters, Jennie and Melany, as well as her extended family. She is remembered by her sisters, Rose and Michelle, and her brothers, Eric and Mark.
Alix-Anne was a dedicated nurse who cared deeply for those around her. She was always the first to offer a helping hand, with a kind heart and a strong desire to make others feel safe, seen, and supported. She always had a smile on her face, lighting up every room she entered and bringing comfort to those around her.
A celebration of life to honour Alix-Anne will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 31st at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel, 11969 216th Street, Maple Ridge, BC.
She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the warmth and joy she shared with everyone she met.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Maple Ridge Hospice Society.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Alix’s passing. Alix and I shared a special bond through our mutual nursing journeys, and over the years, our families enjoyed many memorable times together, camping, laughing, and sharing life’s moments. Alix’s warmth, humour, and generous spirit left a lasting impression, and our hearts are with the families during this difficult time. May Alix rest in peace.

Dear Auntie,
I have always sent you emails, to keep up to date on Tatum and I. Never stopped sending you all my love and prayers for late, Cousin Nat. You will be missed, always in my thoughts.
I was trying to find, a 90’s photo of you, auntie rose and mom. Doing dishes… singing 70’s songs.mac and cheese, old commercials .. lol
