Alexander Anthony Knittle (Tony), 88, of Coquitlam, BC passed away at 8:06 am on Friday, November 7, 2025 surrounded by his loving wife and family. Born on June 11, 1937 in Cabri, SK, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence shaped the lives of everyone who knew him.
Tony was known for his handsome smile, living his life with kindness, humour and strength; carrying his love for others not in grand gestures, but in the everyday ways he showed up. Dedicated to his family, his faith, and the career he truly loved as a designer and estimator in the sheet metal / food services industry. He loved music, gardening, the water, and travelling with Kim, whether he knew he was going or not - he was always open to the next adventure or excuse for a party! He loved learning new skills/trades and if he couldn’t fix it or make something fit, well, he’d just take a hammer to it! Tony was always so proud of his family and their accomplishments - he pushed them to succeed and face their fears. We’ll miss his many stories, silly nicknames, zingy one liners and infectious laugh.
Above all, his greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Kim, his children Lee (Tracy), Rick (Diane), Kelly, Paris, Kailah (Kerry), Desirae (Marty), Sandy, Kirby, plus his 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 4 of his siblings, who will carry his memory forward with love. He is preceded in death by three of his children, Calvin, Toni, and Peter, his parents, Peter and Anna Marie, and 6 of his siblings.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 1:00 pm at All Saints Parish (821 Fairfax St. Coquitlam with reception to follow. A viewing will be held at 12:00 pm Noon.

Tony will be remembered as the kind of man whose quiet moments spoke the loudest; to know him was to feel safe. His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his legacy will live on in every life he touched.
He was ours - and we will miss him for the rest of our lives.
We love you forever and always.
