After a long battle with cancer, Alan succumbed March 6th, 2026.
Predeceased by his sister Christine in 2009 and his father Jack in 2024.
Alan's school years were spent at Kingsford Smith elementary school and Killarney High School. He was a very young soccer player and an avid golfer. He grew up across the street from the Fraserview Golf Course which afforded him the opportunity to play every day. He worked in the British Columbia construction industry throughout his lifetime.
Alan is survived by his mother, Diane and two brothers, John and Brian. He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, their children and his many cousins.
The family wish to thank all the staff at the Crossroads Hospice, in Port Moody for their excellent care. Alan's last days in their care were made comfortable and stress free for the family. We also wish to thank all the New Westminster Fraser Health care workers and Doctors who assisted us during his long and terrible cancer journey.
Alan's life will be celebrated privately by his family. In lieu of flowers please donate to the BC Cancer Foundation

Alan was a character. He was my friend and companion for many years. Al relished a good debate, had a genuine impact on and in my life. He loved his family and his friends from not only work but his building as well. Al will be remembered and missed by many.
I cherished the times we spent together and will carry him in my heart forever.
