Andrea was one of those special people whose pure heart, generosity and constant beautiful smile touched the lives of everyone she met.

Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

The family would like to especially thank all the wonderful staff at McKenney Creek Hospice and all of Mom’s special friends who helped make her final journey one filled with love, constant joy and happiness with a tea party or two thrown in for good measure.

My attempt to come up with the right words to express my condolences and to reflect the suffering you are feeling , I’m drawn to a quote by Parker Palmer
“ the human soul doesn’t want to be advised, fixed, or saved it simply wants to be witnessed... exactly as it is.”
I can’t begin to understand the grief you are in, you lived with your mother for 50 years , no- one is ever as interested in everything you do as your mother or as proud, she taught you everything, you are who you are because of your mother
My deepest condolence to you and your sister in this difficult time
We had some laughs all of us
Cheers Elisabeth

Andrea and the Johnson family were our neighbours on Donovan Rd. in Haney. I was 5 years old and Andrea was 12 when they moved next door to us. Andrea was always a wonderful, caring person. When I was 5 years old, I was badly bitten by a neighbourhood dog, I remember Andrea taking me home and reassuring me that everything was going to be OK.
I had the honour of being a bridesmaid at Andrea and Chucks wedding.
Even though I have resided in Ontario for many years I was able to visit with Andrea on occasion.
I feel blessed to have known her.
My condolences to Diane, Buzz, Andrea's children, David and Dianne and the entire Johnson/Twitchett family.

Andrea was always one of my favorite people. Even after she lost her dear husband Chuck, she remained positive and hopeful for the future. She always had a kind word for me to pass along to my family. I will miss her greatly but the world is a better place for her having been in it. ❤️

Andrea was a very special member of the Ladies Evening Fellowship at Haney Presbyterian Church. We will remember her with fondness ~ especially for her beautiful smile, her gracious personality, her talents, her unique sense of humour and her warm and lasting friendship.
The following poem is part of the tribute we paid to Andrea at our meeting Tuesday evening.
God looked around His garden,
And he found an empty place,
He looked down upon the earth, And saw Andrea’s tired face.
He put his arms around her and lifted her to rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that she was suffering,
He knew she was in pain.
He knew that she would never get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed her eyes and whispered,
“Let My peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone…..
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

With God's blessings and thanks for a life well lived. Rest in peace, Andrea
With love from all of us at LEF.
