James Anthony Allen
February 12, 1946 - July 22, 2020
With wonderful memories and hearts full of love, our family is saddened to announce Jim lost his battle with bone cancer. Jim spent most of his working career in law enforcement. He enjoyed spending time with friends, golfing, playing poker and participating in the local activities of his Townhouse Complex. Although golf was his first passion, buying cars was a close second. His humour, wit and calming manner will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra, 3 sons; Brett (Robin), David and Jeff (Christine). He was predeceased by his adoptive parents Fred and Rubella in the 1990’s, half-sister, Barbara in 2016 and his grandson, “Frosty” in November 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Special thanks to all the staff at McKenney Creek Hospice who gave Jim so much comfort.

I knew and worked periodically with Jim over the years, first with the RCMP and then with the Transit Police. We also met on the golf course at different times over the years. I loved Jim's steady personality and his sense of humor. He did not rattle easily and could often find the light side of a situation that would put others at ease. My condolences and prayers are with his family at this most difficult of times.

You left lots of good memories so you'll never be too far. Enjoy your time away on that fairway in the sky - no green fees required.

I miss his turkey and rib dinners, his dark sense of humour and his travel stories (the various airports of the world he’s seen). Jim will be missed.

I remember Uncle Jim always had a grin on his face! Even when he was not happy with us brats when we were little! Maybe that was your poker face? R.I.P Uncle Jim!
