Alexander Blaise Mac Eachern
Feb.3,1953- Feb.12,2021
Blaise was born in Antigonish, N.S. to Donald & Elizabeth Mac Eachern.
Blaise passed away peacefully in Langley,BC Feb.12,2021.
He grew up in Mc Ara's Brook, surrounded by his 10 siblings. He was the middle child of 11 children. Blaise was watched over & loved by his older siblings & passed that same care & love on to his younger siblings. It was common to hear Blaise talk about how happy he was to be from such a big family. He was a very caring, compassionate & gentle soul. Growing up, you could often find Blaise helping out on the farm, one of his favourite pastimes was going to the shore to swim & beachcomb all summer long.
After finishing high school Blaise went to Trade school in Port Hawkesbury for two years to get his Plumbing diploma. He then worked in Stellarton until he decided to make the move to BC. In 1974 he made the long trip across Canada with his sister Bernadette & her husband Bob. Over the years Blaise made several trips home to NS to see his family. Blaise settled in Langley, the place he came to love.

My dad in my eyes, was the guy that knew everyone. Social, kind and friendly. Being out anywhere with him he was bound to run into a buddy. It was just who he was.

As a kid he always made time for Shauna and I, taking us out for dinner, shopping for job supplies or to job sites. We usually wanted to tag along if we could. Tinkering on something in the house or yard; He was always open to teach and explain how he was fixing or building something. I have certain "fix it" skills that definitely came from him.

I'll miss your energy, love and laugh dad. Till we meet again. All my love Vanessa.

Dad had the biggest heart. This was evident if you walked into a room where he was you could feel his love wrapping you in an invisible blanket. He was gentle, kind and calm. If I was stressed or having a bad day, if I talked to my dad, he always made me feel like everything would be alright and would work itself out. I remember whenever I needed something my dad always gave it to me, right down to the last dollar in his pocket, which happened many times. He took me on many shopping trips allowing me to pick out whatever I wanted and patiently waited while I took my time making my selection. I will love you forever dad. I hope you're dancing to an upbeat country tune with your family and friends that have passed on. Love always Shauna (Shae).
