Valerie Law passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning January 25th at the age of 91.  Her daughter Renay spent the evening by her side, talking and consoling her while holding her hand.  Valerie knew she was not alone, and much loved.

Valerie sadly missed her beloved husband, Donald, of 67 years, who predeceased her on September 27th, 2022.

Valerie will be sadly missed by her children: Erwin and Renay; her grandchildren: Christopher and Francis; her great grandchildren Sarah and Charlotte; her nieces and nephew Leigh, Michelle, and Dean; daughter in-law: Connie; son in-law: Istvan; and many more family members and friends in B.C., England, Scotland, Portugal, and South Africa.

Valerie was born 8 August 1931 in Durban, South Africa.  She worked full-time at home supporting, and nurturing her family.  Valerie unconditionally extended her support to all family, and friends.  Whether baking scones for school functions, assisting in the school cafeteria, or driving children to activities, Valerie took all in casual good stride. 

Upon emigrating from South Africa to Canada in 2000, she spent much time watching television, and caring for the households pets.  The pets spent hours entertaining her, and being spoilt by her kindness.  The pets will sadly miss her very much.

Valerie was always very proud to share the moments and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced.
