In loving memory of Theresa Leanna (Gold) Huculak, born Feb 11, 1968, at Grace Hospital, BC. After a valiant 10 year battle with cancer, Theresa passed peacefully on April 28, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends.
Theresa was a loving dedicated mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Theresa survived by her loving husband (JR) Lorne Huculak, beautiful daughter Choyce Huculak, mother Elaine Sturhahn, sister Dianna Sturhahn, brother in law Steve Turnell, mother in law Shirley Huculak, and brother and sister in law Brett and Shirleen Macmurphy, niece Jordan Hansen, nephew Taylor Hansen, niece Courtney Beckner and numerous loving aunts, uncles, family and friends. Predeceased by father Gunter Sturhahn, father in law Lorne Huculak and Bear (beloved family dog).
Theresa was a beautiful soul, inside and out with a vibrant personality, she was caring, kind, and loving, she was so thoughtful and always thinking of others. It was always Theresa’s goal to ensure those around her were happy and always enjoying themselves, she was attentive and selfless putting others' happiness above hers. So many of these attributes help lead Theresa to gain her real estate licence in her early 20s where she thrived, succeeded and excelled as a professional Realtor building her team and a reputable name within the Greater Vancouver area, and winning multiple awards for all her achievements.
During her Real Estate journey Theresa met the love of her life (JR) and the two began a whirlwind romance where they lived life to the absolute fullest. After a few years of travelling near and far, experiencing many adventures together, raising their first fur baby Bear, to getting married in 2007. After a successful career and marriage she achieved her greatest role, that of a mother! In 2009 their beautiful daughter Choyce Elaine Marie Huculak was born, and Theresa became the mother she was always meant to be. Theresa had a new love of her life, and their family began.
Theresa was diagnosed in her early 40s with cancer, undergoing many treatments and fighting many battles but always remained a warrior and fought this battle right to the very end. Throughout the last decade of her life, Theresa shared and valued her time with her family and friends and always had a smile on her face, she will always remain an impressionable person to anyone who had the privilege of meeting and knowing her. Theresa will remain in our hearts, our thoughts and our memories, always and forever.
A very special thank you and deepest appreciation of gratitude to the panel of doctors, oncologists, naturopaths, hypnotherapist, nurses, radiologists and all those who cared for Theresa during her over a decade long battle with cancer. Thank you.
Our family would like to thank the nursing staff & doctors at Ridge Meadows Hospital during Theresa’s final days.
Your kindness, compassion and optimism didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I remember meeting Theresa over 20 years ago at an open house in Boston Meadows in Coquitlam and being so impressed with her wonderful warm caring nature and smile.Ten transactions later I am really shocked and saddened to here of her passing she was such an amazing , kind and laid back professional that could always be trusted to have your interests at heart and whether you were with her as your realtor or saw her on the street she was always the one to take time to chat not about business but about family and your own well being . The world lost a really wonderful person in Theresa , RIP Theresa .Drew

The obituary describes exactly the Theresa I've been lucky to come know. I would also describe her as the salt of the earth, a steady hand, and possessing the kindest heart. I've been deeply touched by her sweet disposition and share your grief. The world is a much sadder place without her. My deepest sympathies go out to you. We have been blessed with her prescence however short.
