She Loved, She Laughed, She Lived . . .

Our sweet feisty mom passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-two with family by her side.  She was born in Nampa, Alberta and then moved to the Sunshine Coast where she grew up, married, and began her family. She was predeceased, by her husband John Alfred, son Joseph, and daughter Karen. Mom will always be lovingly remembered by her six surviving children, Randi, Linda, John, Maureen, Kim, and Tracy, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known for her spunk, sass, and her very caring heart.

Remembering . . .

The beauty of a memory
Is that it's always there,
Like a penny in your pocket,
You can take it anywhere

And when your heart is heavy,
And your eyes are filled with tears,
You can focus on a memory,
And travel through the years.

Your heart can visit happy times,
When laughter filled the air,
And the presence of your loved one,
Will lessen your despair.

So, as you travel on in life,
Take comfort as you go,
In a lifetime of sweet memories,
Of the one who loved you so!

Grama Sheila you will be so missed but definitely remembered! You were one of a kind and so very special to me.❤️ I’ll remember so much about you but some special moments we shared will definitely stand out. From fried onion sandwiches to me making sure you always had your beer in hand and of course we all can’t forget you dancing and enjoy the stripper at Linnea’s 30th birthday😂😂 I never hesitated to share with friends the fact that you worked at a ‘bootlegger’ I still think that’s so cool 😉 and trust me if I was legal back then I would have come to visit you!! You were so fun to be around and the life of the party. Always easy to please and never a bother.
May you rest easy Grama Sheila 🥰

Love Cheryl (your favourite granddaughter) 😉

Mom, While I am sad that you have passed I am happy that you will not have to suffer anymore. I will always cherish our relationship as we were very close and had many special times together. I will be forever grateful that we experienced our many cruises together and with family. You were such a generous person and always put others ahead of yourself. I am happy to have you as my mother and will forever miss you! I love you so much. This is not goodbye as we will meet again. Love you always, Maureen ❤😍💖🌹

Mom, sometimes I just wish you could come back, but I don’t want you to suffer again. You lived a long life and left us all with many memories. A mother’s love is always with her children and loosing you is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. Your goodness, caring and wisdom will live on with me. I have you in my heart and will miss our visits. Until we meet again !
Love you, Randi ❤️🙏❤️

Sheila was the sweetest, kindest person you ever want to meet. Before I started work I would sit and talk with Sheila in the lunch room, until I started. Every Christmas she would buy a one dollar scratch ticket for everyone. You will be sadly missed, but never forgotten. Take care my dear, until we meet again ❤️

My beautiful mother, you will be truly missed Mom. I do, however, have peace of mind, knowing that you were in a better place now. . You were one of the strongest women I know. You, my beautiful mother, dealt with several ups and downs throughout your life, however, you came through always with flying colors, your independence, loyalty, and strength was always a part of your life. So many memories to draw from . I will cherish forever ! You passed peacefully with your family by your side . I love you Mom , and will forever miss you . Kim 🥰💕🙏
