Jaroslaus, also known as Jaros or Jerry, was born to parents Katherine and Joseph Tkaczuk. Jerry immigrated to Edmonton, Canada at the age of 8. In his twenties he moved to the West Coast, settling in Maple Ridge.
Jerry was an excellent track and field athlete throughout high school and enjoyed following it on tv throughout his adult life. He worked for many years for Imperial Oil and took pride in working hard on the docks at the refinery in Port Moody. He had a love for nature and especially dogs.
Jerry will be forever loved and remembered by his family and friends.
At Jerry’s request there will be no funeral service.

Jerry was extremely generous. He was thoughtful and so kind. He loved talking about his sons and his days as a track and field athlete. He said, “I love you,” and appreciated his friends and told them that often. It was an incredible blessing to know him. Jerry, we miss you so much already! You will always be in our hearts.
