Edythe Allison Smith
Write a TributeIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Allison Smith, on October 15th, 2024, at Maple Ridge Hospital. Our hearts are broken, but we take comfort knowing that both her sons were by her side as she peacefully moved on. In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends who came to visit, offering their love and support. The outpouring of visitors was a true testament to how many lives she touched and how deeply she was loved. Mom was so much more than just a mother to us—she was a devoted sister, a loving Grams, Grammy, Grandma-Lama, and a cherished friend to so many.
Mom had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like family, opening her arms and heart to all who came into her life. Her loyalty, generosity, and nurturing spirit were unmatched, and we will forever remember her as the "cat lady," her love for animals being just one example of her kind and caring soul. With her quick sense of humor and laid-back nature, she brought joy to every moment, and those of us who had the privilege of knowing her will always admire these traits.
We will miss her more than words can express, but her presence will live on in our hearts, and we will carry her memory with us every single day. Rest in peace, Mom. You are deeply loved and missed by so many.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Allison’s family.
Allison was part of our theatre and birthday group for many years.
She was cheerful and so full of life, and loved to share pictures of her “granbabbies”, her cats and her cars.
We never knew what “cat”accessories she would be sporting, there were so many. Lots of memories!
Rest in peace Allison, we miss you!
Bethaire
