Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister and Friend. We are heartbroken to share that Dorothy MacBurnie has passed on and will now be watching over us as an angel in heaven. She can now rest. Dad & I, along with Jason, Trevor, Angus & Lyndsay were able to support her on her final journey. Special thanks to all the team at Ridge Meadows ER & the Palliative Care Team...the work you do is exceptional and we are very lucky to have had such a great team.

My Mom was an amazing human. She was an artist, a poet, an author, adventurer, a care giver. She would say her legacy is her Grandchildren, who she would do anything for. But it's so much more. I can only feel sorrow as my heart breaks for our loss and for my Dad, whose partner of 61 years takes her final trip home.

She didn't want us to fuss over her and her wish was that there be no service. We will gather as a family at a later date to celebrate her life, share pictures & stories.
