With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Daryl Manion on January 28, 2025 in New Westminster, BC. Daryl was a hardworking, kind, and dependable man who touched the lives of many.

Predeceased by his parents, Roy and Velma Manion, as well as his older brother, Tommy, and younger brother, Denny. Daryl leaves behind a family who loved him dearly. He is survived by his beloved partner, Debby Cowan; his children, Matthew (Courtney) and Tonya (Matt); stepchildren, Chris, and Alicia (Nick); his cherished grandchildren, Caden, Daxen, and Clara; siblings, Dale (Bob), Roy Jr. (Jan), Joan, and Sherry; his father-in-law grandpa Frank, his sister-in-law Brenda (Dave) as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Daryl recently retired after a long career in construction, where his dedication and skill earned him the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him. He was looking forward to the adventures that retirement would bring, eager to embrace new experiences and spend more time doing the things he loved.

Beyond his work, Daryl had a deep love for life’s simple pleasures. He found joy on the golf course, where his patience and precision were on full display. He had a passion for gardening, taking pride in nurturing life, watching things grow, basking in the warmth of the sun, and soaking in the beauty of the world around him. More than anything, he treasured the joy of spending time with family, sharing laughter and stories, and making new memories together.

Daryl was a devoted family man who valued time spent with loved ones and never missed a chance to be with those who mattered most. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, strength, and hard work will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel (11969 216 Street) on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that you honour Daryl’s memory by spending time with loved ones, enjoying a round of golf, tending to a garden, or simply sitting in the sun and reflecting on the good times.
