Beniamin Dumitiru "Ben" Anca of Yarrow, British Columbia passed away on October 4, 2023 at Royal Columbian Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Beniamin was born on October 25, 1970 in Baia De Aries. He became a successful contractor and a stone and tile mason in British Columbia. He was dedicated to learning and honing his skills, taking courses to become a pilot, sailing a boat, and going to finance school. Beniamin was a beloved figure who immigrated to Canada in 1988 and was known for his kindness, hard work, and great sense of humour. He was brave, and was known for building a beautiful farm property with his partner Lisa, as well as supporting his sister Diana, and her two children Anamaria and Paul immigrate to Canada. His hobbies included hiking, cooking, being outdoors, kayaking in local lakes and his passion for taking day trips to his favourite place Manning Park or as Ben would have called it “Park Manning”.

Beniamin is survived by his Father Petru; Mother Viorica; Partner Lisa; Step Daughter Emily; Sisters Diana, Daniela; Brother Darius; Half Sisters Petronela, Adriana, Delia; Nieces Anamaria, Kelly, Jessica; Nephews Paul, Richard; Edward, Peter, Andrew, and Brian. Beniamin was preceded in death by his Grandma, Floare Nicola.

The family of Beniamin will be holding a funeral service in his honor on Saturday, October 14th at 4pm at Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel (11969 216 St, Maple Ridge). The family invites friends and family to join them in celebrating Beniamin's life and to offer their condolences.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation.
