Auntie Pauline, at peace now. I remember as kids, a long time ago now!, how myself, Frances, Margaret, Mom (Sheila) & Dad (Paddy) would visit Coleshill on a Sunday 3/4 times a year and find Pauline in the kitchen or showing us round her ( and Uncle Peter’s) immaculate garden with the tortoise. I remember one particular visit where Martin had just had a new car, a Mini Clubman, and Pauline and Martin had spent the morning fitting new spotlights to the front grill!! We then went inside the house where upon we were greeted by a new sewing machine, what looked like a piano, in the back room. Pauline truly was a practical ‘can do’ person, with an array of skills that she put to good use in England and latterly in Canada.
Take care Auntie Pauline, another bit of Birmingham in the sky above.

Dear Lisa & Paul we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Auntie Pauline was an amazing lady and you both gave her a wonderful new adventure in Canada. She is at rest now and take peace knowing she is reunited with Uncle Peter and Martin. I bet they are all having a great chuckle at us down here!! We are all thinking of you and sending lots of love Paddy, Frances, Margaret & Kevin (& families).

Mom always loved watching the bears which she used call teddy bears from her living room window! What an amazing lady she was to start a whole new life in Canada with Paul and myself at the age of 74. A true testament to her strong character as my cousin Kevin put it! Mom's life was made truly complete with her two little doggies in the picture. Bella and Pete. She derived so much pleasure in car rides and walking her little dogs. She continued her love of gardening, cooking, sewing and enjoying the simple pleasures in life, watching the humming birds at the feeder, listening to the birds, feeding the squirrels and just taking in nature. We all used to sit outside on her deck and admire the colourful spectacle that she had created with her beautiful plants that she had planted. She has instilled so many of these characteristics in me. (apart from the sewing) She was full of fun and enjoyed a good laugh, laughter was her medicine. There are few little songs that mom used to sing that stick in mind:- The sun has got his hat on, his coming out to play, the sun has got his hat on hip hip hip hooray!! Half a pound of tuppenny rice half a pound of treacle, mix it up and make it nice pop goes the weasel!! Do you want to come and camp in Bewdley, 10 bob a week all you can eat rhubarb and custard in the middle of the week!! Such simple little merry tunes - happy memories!! I feel blessed and proud to call her my mom. I'm going to miss you so much mom. All my love Lisa
