September 2, 1935 – March 25, 2020 – It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mom and grandma, Monique Sonsalla. Monique was born in Montreal, Quebec and later moved with her husband and children to Maple Ridge, calling it home for the past 47 years. Predeceased by her husband, Horst Sonsalla in 2007, she is survived by her sons Steve and Dan (Rosalie), grandchildren Sara, Samantha (Garth), Darrian and numerous other family members in Quebec. She was dearly loved by all who knew her and over the past couple of years became known as the “Princess” of Rosewood Cottage! Monique loved the Lord…though she struggled with failing health over the past year, she remained a faithful servant. We take solace in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven with all those who passed before her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
