Mario Aldo Pagan of Maple Ridge, BC passed away peacefully on April 6, 2020 after reaching the age of 85. Mario leaves behind his loving wife Marie, Son Antony (Essie), son John and his grandchildren Dr. Tristan Pagan, Bella, Ericka , Devin and Cameron.
Mario was born in Zara, Italy in 1934 and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He worked as a fisherman and a Plant Manager before becoming a restauranteur; owning the Il Corsaro Restaurant on Commercial Drive, then opening up the Il Corsaro in Maple ridge before his retirement. Mario was an avid soccer fan who loved opera and classical music. He was a strong, proud and good father and grandfather who will be missed by many. His funeral services were held April 15, 2020 in Maple Ridge, BC. Rest in Peace Mario.

Where to start... I'll keep it simple...
Poppa Mario, I met you when I was thirteen years old. You shared with me your values, your home , heart & many stories I'll cherish forever. I got to take part in private, sacred family moments. We had some conversations that were golden. At times you were the teacher, at times I was the teacher... & that is what i love about you. There was no hierarchy to our relationship. The only hierarchy was you referring to me with Marie, that I was the daughter you never had. Why don't we then say,
I am the daughter YOU HAVE. I'm so blessed poppa. Thank you....
Hows that for simple?! I see you getting the joke & laughing with me as I walk in and see you with the gigantic earphones on, singing on the top of your lungs, saying, hello Beckley!!! I love this song! Listen for a minute!
I always did listen to your music... and I revelled in it... every single moment...of my youth. I love you
