It is we deepest sadness we share the loss of Joyce Edwards on Saturday January 9th 2021 at the age of 80 years. Joyce was born in Llanelli South Wales in May 1940 and was the oldest of three children, to David and Elizabeth Treharne. She married Melvyn Jones and together they raised two daughters Shan and Emma.
Joyce is predeceased by her first husband Melvyn (1989) and her second husband Chris Edwards (2018). As well as her younger sister Wendy.
Joyce had a passion for needlecraft and was a talented seamstress. Creating dresses, costumes, jumpers, hats and scarves for her children and grandchildren over the years. She was knitting or crocheting constantly. Her hands were rarely still. She also loved desserts. Her family have fond memories of her baking in the kitchen and her famous trifle that she would bring to family gatherings.
Joyce is survived by her brother Dudley, her daughters Shan(Phil) and Emma(Simon), her five grandchildren Jaime(Lee), Debbie(Jeremy), Jonathan, Matilda and Oliver and her eight great grandchildren Benjamin, Nathan, Calum, Jacob, Bronwyn, Bailey, Amelia and Henry. As well as many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
A private service will be held on Saturday January 16th at 1pm in Maple Ridge Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
She will be dearly missed by all and we will think of her every day.
What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.
