Jim Severinski

January 15, 1929 – December 31, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather at the age of 91. He passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020. He lived in Maple Ridge most of his life where he got married to his wife Lorna on May 11, 1951. He was married for 46 years. She passed away on October 24, 1997. He is predeceased by his parents Steven and Monda. Also his brothers and sisters: Annie, Rosie, June, Emily, Madeline, David, John, and Clair. He is survived by his brother Harry. He leaves behind a loving family who loved and respected him including 4 sons and spouses: Rick (Diane), Steve (Diane), Terry (Derrien), and Jimmy; and 2 daughters Anne (Clayton) and Melonie. Also his 11 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, and 1 great great grandson. They will all miss him. Dad was always there to help us with his own way of doing things. He also loved fishing and camping with family. Best time of our lives. He also loved crib and other card games. Also a good whiskey. He spent his early years working on his parents dairy farm before working at Hammond Mill, and then Bestwood Cedar before he retired around 50 years old because of an accident he had. He lived at the house he bought in Hammond until 2018 when he had a stroke and was placed in Baillie House where he spent his remaining years. May you rest in peace. We all love you Dad. Have a game of crib and relax. You deserve it. We all want to thank the staff at Baillie House who took great care and all the love you gave him. Best wishes from all our family.

Jim was a neighbour of ours for years, my daughter often looked after his cat while he was away fishing. Jim was a wonderful man. May he rest in peace. We will miss you Jim.
