It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mom Kathie Schafer at McKenney Creek Hospice on January 10th, 2018 at the age of 76.
Kathie is survived by three daughters: Charmaine (Doug), Ann (Kevin), Janet (Mike), seven grandchildren Jessica (Evan), Tyler James, Scott, Colleen, Tyler Michael, Madeline, Cody (who she never met) and great granddaughter Everly. She is also survived by six siblings and many nieces and nephews. Kathie came to Canada in 1970, and made a life in Maple Ridge in 1974 as an accountant. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. You are finally free of pain and at peace mom, rest well. You will always be in our hearts forever. Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to McKenney Creek Hospice would be appreciated.

Missing you so very much. I was so lucky to have you in my life and I treasure memories of family times. You were an incredible Oma, so devoted to each of your grandchildren and through that you have inspired me to be a devoted grandmother to my Everly. I am so sorry that she only got to know you for such a short time. You were beautiful inside and out and I miss you.

Janet, my condolences at this sad time. I met your mother several years ago at her office and found her to be a lovely person. This is a very sad milestone in your life. My sympathy to your and your family.
