Jeffery Wayne Waters

January 12, 1966 – July 8, 2018

It is with extreme heartbreak that the Family of Jeff Waters announces his passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer. We refuse to say he lost as he fought harder than anyone ever could. We are so proud of him!

Jeff will be lovingly remembered and always hold a very special place in her heart by his wife of 32 years, Diana. His children, Ashley and Amber, will miss all the great advice their Dad gave them and his sense of humour. Jeff also will be forever remembered by his grandson Colby. Watching hockey will never be the same for him. All of our fur-babies will miss him too! He was our rock and a true legend!

Jeff was born in Vancouver January 12, 1966 to Ardith & James (Jim) Waters. He was the “middle child” of eight children, which taught him how to be a fighter and always get what he wanted. Anything that Jeff set his mind to he would accomplish. At an early age, he developed a passion for music which lead him to several years in the late 80’s and early 90’s of playing in a band as lead vocalist and front man. Shortly after his second child was born, he hung up his mic so that he could always be there for his wife and kids. Jeff wasn’t a “yes man” and was determined to work for himself by starting a business. While battling cancer, Jeff created a business and storefront in Maple Ridge, West Coast Fun Toys, that was becoming a success. Jeff loved talking with people and this proved to be an asset for his business as he had customers come in just to talk. All of his customers knew they could always get advice and help from Jeff with any product they purchased. Jeff’s store was quaint, unique and gave people a true “ma & pa store” feeling.

Survived by Parent's: Ardith Waters and James Waters (Eileen). Siblings: Jamie, Michelle (Brian), Crystal (Bill), Steve (Patti), Darren, Louise (Jim), Angela (Donny). Step siblings: Ben, Richard, Debbie and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jeff is predeceased by brother Darrel and step sister Sue.

A celebration of life will be held on August 19th, 2018 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, with a special tribute of words and songs @ 2:30pm.

Anyone whose life was touched by Jeff is welcome to help celebrate and reminisce. Please email ashley.wa87@hotmail.com for details.

If you wish to donate in Jeff’s memory, please do so with an animal charity of your choice as Jeff spent his whole life helping animals in need.

Well Jeff at this time memories from when we were kids getting in mischief come flooding back. We didn't spend a lot of time together as men but I hold all our memories dear to my heart. Rest in peace my friend. Ben Johnson
