Born in Utrecht, the Netherlands on June 27, 1930. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her parents and 16 siblings, finally settling in Pitt Meadows. Married John Andrew Vojt on April 23, 1955. Together they started mushroom farming, then took over the family dairy farm and continued farming for many years; they remained there after selling the cows and dairy quota. She and John were always together. John passed away June 24, 2017. They will be together again. Jetty (her nickname) is survived by her daughters Anita Ardron (Greg), Anne Berge (Craig), grandchildren Ryan (Mel), Elise, Matthew, Jessica (Ray), and great grandson Carson. Brothers and sisters include Jophie Warmerdam d’d (Len d’d), Corrie Van Graven d’d (Jack d’d), Tinie van den Brink (Bert d’d), Lucy Warmerdam (Case), John Griffioen (Carol d’d), Dick Griffioen d’d (Yvonne d’d), Betty Fecko (Mike d’d), Hans Griffioen (Kaaren), Mieke Griffioen d’d, Anne Ruigrok (Ed), Lexie Elliott, Nol Griffioen (Sylvia), Marianne Edgett (Barry d’d), Liz Seed (John), Frans Griffioen d’d (Elise), Joe Griffioen (Vicky).
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at 11:00am at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 20285 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge.
