FEUCHUK, ANDREÉ CONSTANCE |

Sept. 8, 1920 – July 22, 2010
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andreé. A long time resident of Vancouver, she spent the past 8 years in Maple Ridge. She is survived by her daughter Margot and son-in-law David; her son Danny and daughter-in-law Tessa; her daughter Fern and son-in-law Sam; and her son Bruce. Predeceased by her husband George; 4 brothers, 3 sisters and her son Alan. She is survived by her brother Bob Verhulst, sister-in-law Sheila and sister-in-law Pat Verhulst. She leaves behind 21 nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Andreé was born in Saint-Chamond, France, raised in Canmore, Alberta and lived in Vancouver until she moved to Maple Ridge in 2002. She has lived at Baillie House since October 2007. Thank You to all the wonderful care aides and nursing staff that loved and cared for her during this time and a very special thanks to Dr. Chapman and the nursing staff at Ridge Meadows Hospital for their loving attention. Andreé made a friend of everyone she met. Her life was in the service of others starting back in the days she was president of the PTA at Lord Roberts’ Elementary School in the west end of Vancouver. She also assisted in the lunch room and at fund raisers. Andreé attended St. Paul’s Anglican Church, was part of the ladies auxilliary and helped out with the church bazaars and dinners. Over the years she also helped out with elections by enumerating and running poling centers. For many years, she went door to door collecting funds for the March of dimes. Although confined to a wheelchair, Andreé continued to live a socially active life. She loved music, theatre, old movies and singing. She even became an avid bingo player. She will be missed by all who knew her. Service to be held Thursday, July 29th at 2 pm at St. George’s Anglican Church, 23500 Dewdney Trunk Road, Maple Ridge.
