Cherak, Edward Lawrence
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Lawrence Cherak on June 15, 2010. “Poppy” as he was affectionately known to his family was born on May 31, 1927 in Canmore, Alberta and moved to BC in 1952. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sheila and their five daughters, Cindy (Rob), Darlene (Harold), Debbie, Terri (Bill) and Michelle (Paul). Poppy will be greatly missed by all of his grandchildren, Nicole, Thomas, Megan, Haley, Steven, Dana, Evan, Drew, Paige and Madison. A special thank you to the Renal Dept. of Tricity and RCH and the wonderful staff of “5 North.” A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Maple Ridge Community Church, #301-20450 Dewdney Trunk Rd., Maple Ridge, BC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 200 – 4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 4K6.
